I'd love to go up to Vermont.. I'm going to try planning a trip later this winter.

That's unreal, Bob. In a different lifetime, I should have learned to ski.
Also, unrelated, Quakertown is the new Carbondale.
I'm planning to get a pass and ski at least once a week if I can. Hopefully it gets cold enough by mid-December since that when I'd like to get going.
I first learned to ski back in high school, went once a week in 11th and 12th grade, but haven't gone that many times since then. Liberty and Roundtop are pretty good for this area, but I'd like to eventually ski on a real mountain.

Very impressive cold coming up for Thanksgiving. Of course I'm not thrilled that we'll be going from record cold to rain, but it's only November so I can't complain.

That was very reckless of Maue. But I guess it brings in the clicks, likes, retweets, and $$$$. Gotta love capitalism.

Finally got home. Now it’s 32 with rain/zr, but we ended up 3.3”, which is damn impressive for mid-November.

The HRRR is incredible.... too good to be true.

I’m loving the looks of the HRRR. I think we’d be really lucky to see it verify but it isn’t out of the question... sometimes we can get a nice surprise out of a mixed event. I’ll be happy just to see flakes tomorrow morning.

My bar is any amount that will vaguely whiten things up, so maybe 0.7” or so.

For this time of year that's amazing.
If you take those amounts literally then yeah, that would be just awesome.

I highly doubt 6”, but for November getting on the board is a huge coup around the cities.
Don’t worry. This winter is going to rock, and I mean that with all seriousness.
I’m not gonna lie, this November reminds me of November 2013.

I’m skeptical, if for no other reason than the fact that this is so early in the season and climo isn’t exactly on our side. Both the October storm and Nov 2014 were under performers in the nearby burbs, but honestly at this point seeing any flakes at all is a big win.
I’m still not so secretly hoping the UKMET scores a coup

Haven't been in here in a while. Is it really going to snow?

60 with light rain. Nice to see that we're closer to snowstorm temperatures than we are to the heat wave temps of just a few weeks ago. Fall is finally here

Either date should work for me.

Looks like they could beat that total today. Who would've thought they'd get a 1 in 1000 year flood twice in less than two years?

How much did Ellicott City get in 2016?

My area has had some of the lowest precip totals of the subforum in the last 2 weeks.
But it looks like this one isn't going to be another shaft, so it means a lot to me.

Even here the skies are getting dark to the north.

If I were you then I’d drive into that storm. Doesn’t look far from you.

I hope Richmond gets raked with 12"+. Not that it matters to me, but they've been a notorious snowhole for years, so if it's not going to come up here then why not?
