  1. Heavy snow. Everything covered except for the road. 28.9 Degrees
  2. Spent the day on the shore (Rock Hall, Chestertown, Eastern Neck NWR). Chilly day. Car temp read 39 the whole day. Nice halo around the sun as the clouds rolled in. Looked like it would be a nice sunset but it clouded up too much.
  3. Vibrant sunset tonight over a snowy and frozen Stoney Creek.
  4. Pretty cool storm today. Not sure when it started this morning but it snowed for at least 9 hours (10AM-7AM) with flurries/very light snow still falling. Total: 1.50 Measured 1 inch at 2 PM, so another .50 from 2-7 PM.
  5. When I was out taking pictures earlier, I kept thinking how I liked this snow more than the big one a couple weeks ago. The icy creeks/rivers really made it feel like "deep" winter.
  6. Moderate snow again! Awesome wintry day!
  7. Really nice wintry day. Stoney Creek and the Patapsco River are both iced over with snow accumulated on top. Exactly 1 inch as of 2 PM.
  8. Bigger flakes. Coming down at a good rate. 19.4 Degrees
  9. Looked out at 5 AM, no snow. Just woke up and everything is covered outside even the roads. Most significant event his week here. Temp 18.
  10. Was really disappointed with the snow squall. After watching the traffic cams and and the radar out west, it looked like it would be a cool little squall come through but it was pretty boring. No real drop in visibility. Just a little flizzard. Winds were pretty cool though. Causing all the migratory ducks to leave the Patapsco River and come into the creek. Then the winds were pushing a Bald Eagle into the creek too. 2 Snow Fails Here in 2 Days.

At 1240 PM EST, an arctic front was crossing the region. The front will cross the Baltimore and Washington metro areas during the early and middle afternoon hours. Along the front a quick burst of intense snow is likely. A quick snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible, mainly on grassy surfaces. Winds will gust up to 50 mph, and temperatures will fall 5 to 10 degrees. Falling temperatures and wet roads may create icy spots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be prepared for areas of blowing snow. This could lead to temporary very low visibilities and the potential for dangerous driving conditions. If you are traveling and encounter adverse winter driving conditions, reduce speed and make sure headlights are on. Also be alert for icy areas after the front passes and temperatures fall.
  12. Traffic cams near Frederick look great! https://chart.maryland.gov/video/video.php?feed=ccffd39d00a000e90056fa36c4235c0a
  13. A trace would be generous in a final total here. A very very light dusting on mulch, car tops, and wood. Everything else is just wet. Had good rates for hours of rain and even snow for 1-2 hours but just never accumulated. Started out warm and ended warm. Even the "final band" that came through was pretty weak by the time it got here. Rates were better before.
