Yes, you’re right. They do have an inspection I think right around now, but in the past, they get a wink and nod from FIS because of their reputation and the forecast. This is a big race for them, so I think they trust killington if they say they can get it done. .

I think they’ll be fine. Looks like non-stop snowmaking until the event. I bet they open the north ridge weds too. This is about as good an early season window as it gets. Just give us a heads up when you start seeing things break down! .

Marketing’s wet dream..cold in the cities, snow guns blasting, Facebook posts of snow falling and snow covered streets. Maybe even throw in a horse pulling the marketing team around the streets. Everybody in nyc and Boston will book this week. .

Yeah, no joke there. Entire northeast. This has to be one of the better mid/late November snowmaking windows in the last several years. .

You should be able to crush it this week fully staffed and with the temps. Probably well ahead of last year. I think I remember you struggling with the decision to open day before thanksgiving or blowing non-stop as that was the first window at 1500’. Probably 10 nights of temps pre thanksgiving this year. I forget, you go lord/t line after the quad/north slope line? .

The red scrolling screen with the alert tones like the soviets were attacking was like crack to a kid growing up in the 80s. I saw that and I knew it was about to get real (which meant about 3-6 during those years) .

88-93 was a terrible stretch in NNJ. The 93 storm seemed like the start of some much better winters.

They are going to do it regardless I think. They might get giant 72 hour windows and good temps every night; plus, the world cup wants this race and trusts them.

what's the temp profile top to bottom? Did you get the big inversion?
