  1. One last push here? Back to moderate snow with big flakes.
  2. Pretty while it lasts but it looks like back edge is less than an hour away, unless we can get some sort of pivot - not sure that was forecasted though. At least we have added at least an inch on to the seasonal total!
  3. Grabbed a fresh bottle of Casamigos to have with a little sparkling water. Nothing too exciting, but a nice mood enhancer for the beautiful scene outside right now. Down to 32F and moderate bordering on SN+.
  4. Finally into the good stuff in Haymarket. Roads covered, even 15, just got back from a quick ABC store trip!
  5. Quite a difference just a few miles to your south. Maybe some drizzle in Haymarket after a brief period of snow.
  6. 36F and drizzle in Haymarket. Car thermometer was reading 41F in downtown Haymarket and dropped to 36F on the 4 mile drive north to my house.
  7. 42F at 1k’ in Haymarket on Bull Run “mountain” and 33F at 445 feet in the lowlands of Haymarket.
  8. 44/37 bright sunshine in Haymarket. A good amount of melting today but still 100% snow coverage in front and back yard.
  9. Cranking now, heading out for a Jebwalk!
  10. A very pretty snow falling Haymarket. 26F SN
  11. It is loud snow in Haymarket, so I can understand people thinking that.
  12. Made the mistake of settling into a tv show, just got up and looked outside and it is pouring snow! Must have picked up an inch in the last hour. 25F SN at 815 pm - Haymarket
  13. PWCS has enough instructional hours in its day that it could be closed for up to 19 school days and still meet the state minimum requirement.
  14. Real snow has finally returned to Haymarket! Plowed roads in neighborhood and shoveled sidewalks/driveways all covered back up in less than 5 minutes.
  15. A little snizzle and 26F at 420 in Haymarket. Measured 7 inches at 10:30 am and the snow shut off since then until now. Well-timed snow falling with minimal sun angle .
  16. Thanks, agreed that these transfers never work out for us. Typically up in NE MD and DE do okay.
  17. Do we know where that transfer is taking place? How far south?
  18. Measured three spots on my patio and they were between 6.6-6.8 inches in Haymarket. Snizzle falling from the sky. 26F
  19. The tips of the grass have been gone here in Haymarket for a bit, but I also gave the lawn a proper end of season cut at 2 inches right before Christmas.
  20. We have had that flake quality for about 3 hours and have managed an accumulation of 1.5 inches so far. Some bigger flakes are starting to mix in now.
  21. Just went on my first Jebwalk of the storm. Moderate snow with somewhat fine flakes, that will be very easy to shovel, but also that are piling up quickly.
  22. Very much moderate snow, possibly snow plus, but still smaller flake size. 27/24.
  23. Not the biggest flake size, but moderate snow in Haymarket.
