Only had a decent downpour early this morning and nothing since. Directional shear this morning was 180 degrees. Was cool to watch. Direction and speed both look good now, though. Maybe I'll see a 'nader this afternoon. Currently 83F with a 74 dew.

Picked up a quick half inch of rain. Got a nice slow motion shot of lightning with 8 or more strokes. Something took a nice amperage hit.

Nice little thunderstorm this morning dropped 1.27" of rain. 2.97" on the month from two storms.

7 tornadoes confirmed now? Wasn't it just a couple years ago that Mt Holly issued a record number of tornado warnings and confirmed a record number of tornadoes? We're not in Kansas anymore....or are we?

Spent a week in Central Florida. Just got off the plane in Atlantic City and it's more disgusting here than it ever was there. Currently a heat index of 108F.

Watching the madness from Florida. Insane rain amounts. Saw Mt Holly use PDS wording. Hopefully everyone's doing OK. Have had thunderstorms everyday here, but nothing that wild.

Storm total is 2.46". Not bad. And it moved out of here quick enough to not disturb my flight this morning.

Maybe I just have a bad memory (totally possible), but I seem to remember thinking a 70F dew point was high. Now....I'm pretty sure the dew point almost lives above 70 in the summer. And a 78F dew point doesn't even seem unusual.
