    Picked up about an inch of rain so far from this first storm. There's another riding it's coattails. At least all of this brown grass will be happy.

    This storm doesn't have much other than some heavy rain. Surprisingly little CG lightning for a storm reaching 52,000 feet tall. Rain rates have been over 4 in/hr. Temp is down to 70F, dew down to 67.

    Was trying to timelapse this supercell, but the winds tried sweeping away my drone. Getting crushed now!

    Yesterday's high here was 97.2F, which is the highest temp I've recorded since 2018. The heat index peaked at 109. It's currently already 81.8F with a dew of 75. Gonna be nasty today. Hoping for some proper storms, though.

    Hit 91.4F yesterday. I guess the heat wave will start there. Currently 72 with a 68 dew.

    If we don't round, I didn't make it to 90 yesterday (89.5). Only one 90F day so far and that was 90.00000000F.

    Hit 90.0F so far today. Should be the first of many. Although, it's back down to 88.8 at the moment. HI is 98F.

    Sent the drone up for a time lapse during totality not knowing what to expect. Pretty cool.

    Even with the 200 miles of bumper to bumper traffic and the almost 10 hour drive home ....it was still completely worth it. Totality and the diamond ring.

    It all worked out. Definitely the best thing I've ever seen. Birds freaked. Crickets and mosquitoes came out. It got cold and much darker than I imagined. Can't wait to get these photos processed. Now, the 6.5 hour drive home. lol

    Yep. Was rocking back and forth in my chair while listening to a low rumble. Crazy thing is that I was just talking with a coworker yesterday about the 2011 quake and how we are overdue for one.
