I think this happened to me as well.  I opened my window this morning and looked at my car and it was pretty clearly behind where it was parked before.  There was a clear outline of snow with my car about 6ft behind it.  I was baffled.

It creeped me out lol. That’s the only way I can describe it.

@Kay & @diatae, I really appreciate your quick and workable suggestions of the irises and allium for that problem corner spot of the backyard. I'm reasonably sure that I'll have to turn that soil again and convert it to a garden bed...but at least I have some great suggestions to get started. Thanks again!  :)

You could do some smaller river jacks as a covering too. It’s a little more expensive obviously but you will essentially only pay for it once whereas mulch is every year (2 for dyed).

Y'all need to get girlfriends splattered around...you get to pick and choose where to go for snow. I'm just sad there aren't any in Deep Creek or Northern Carroll  :(

    give farmersonly.com a look

I have been here 11 years and still cannot manage to see an oriole in the wild (baseball player or bird). Do you put something in your lawn, on your trees, or in feeders to attract them? The birds that is. Not the players.

They like riparian (woods + fresh water) environments. If there are sycamore trees, there will be orioles. We have 2 regular species, Northern Oriole, and Orchard Oriole. The latter can frequent marshes as well.

Seems like the HRRR has take  some steps back south of the MD/PA line over the last few runs. Good luck in Timonium, it’s right on the fall line so better chance up there than for me. I’ll be lucky to see a few mangled flakes and a few sleet pellets over this way.

Does anything show us NOT starting as snow though? Accumulation prob not, but I think mod-heavy white rain is a lock.

Sure it wasn't 2018? What you are describing sounds exactly like the Equinox storm that year.

Checking my logs there was some snow in the area on the 8th and the 18th but it wasn’t much in Arlington or Charlottesville. Maybe one of those two?

I’m stupid, it was Feb 20, 2019. Thanks y’all lol.
