  1. Pretty colors to look at. Reminds me of the 80’s metal song by Aldo Nova. “Fantasy”. If that comes close to verifying, lunch at The Varsity in Atlanta is one me for the entire board. So what if I have to drive eight hours to pay the debt. LOL Edit: The caveat is snow in Eastern NC/SC over 3”.
  2. What he meant was the cold was 240 hours away. It’s always 10 days away. LOL .
  3. The only time anyone believes the GFS is when it shows fantasy snow. Any other time, people would be calling people crazy for even giving it consideration. .
  4. This is the sounding for KECG at the end of that run. .
  5. As you can tell by my Avatar (Tiger fan since 1978) I have been on cloud nine this whole season. Actually since Lawrence was named starter and he didn’t miss any time after the Syracuse game. I became a fan of Clemson after the whole Woody Hayes incident. .
  6. Yep. I was 10 years old in Camden County, NC. I have yet to see that happen since. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. This is the GFS sounding for KECG at 00 UTC. .
  8. Congratulations to Eric Webb @webberweather for making The Washington Post. https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2019/01/15/polar-vortex-has-fractured-eastern-us-faces-punishing-stretch-winter-weather-just-underway/?noredirect=on .
  9. I hope so. I just don’t see it. Looks like typical cold chasing moisture unless the LP slows down some. .
  10. I will see your 1970’s and 1980’s on the OBX and raise you March 2 & 3, 1980. We had 28” in southern Camden County, NC. I had just turned 10 and that was the most epic winter I remember. The whole of February was endless snow it seemed. .
  11. If it happens, I will pay respect to you. LOL .
  12. I live right there (below Chesapeake, VA) just inland from OBX and I doubt that. .
  13. Let the 10 day monitoring start!!!!! LOL Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. That’s a familiar saying. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Well, if my local forecast is indicative of what’s to come for Eastern N.C., I have a high of 33° next Monday, followed by 50’s by Wednesday. Some arctic blast. Lasts all of one day before moderating to temps that I’ve seen for the last week. Upper 40’s to low 50’s is not my idea of winter blast. Sorry. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. @SteveVa Virginia Beach public works and VDOT we’re out brining the roads in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake this morning. I can’t speak for Suffolk, Norfolk, or the cities on the Peninsula (Hampton , Newport News, or Williamsburg) but it looks like they think they’re getting some wintry weather this weekend. .
