One suggestion for future reference would be to implement a "lead room" composition, in which the subject (in this case) would be situated toward the bottom-left corner of the shot, looking up toward the top-right. The idea of lead room is that there's enough space in the area where the subject is looking to get an idea of what they're looking at. Just something to consider.
