That's crazy, I'm like 5 mi from you.

actually I'm halfway in between I-225 and Centennial Airport, where the blue dot is in this radar image from a few weeks ago. In the little finger of D2 drought on the map just SE of Denver. We did pick up another 0.11" early this morning, so that's good.

Man, some of you all are just unlucky. Picked up another half inch so far today. DEN picked up 1.3"! That puts the airport at 2.8" on the month, well above normal.

Looks like parts of Aurora have seen 2-2.5" today.

APA (Centennial Airport) is at 0.30" for the month, which I think is pretty typical for the immediate I-25 corridor (say 10 miles either side) north of Castle Rock. We're at 0.36" at my house.

What's interesting the last few days is that despite the seemingly random radar patterns, the distribution of heavy rain seems non-random- the places that get a lot of rain one day tend to get a lot on subsequent days. Would be interesting to see a cumulative map. We got another 0.07" for a total of 0.40" for the 5-day period.

This doesn't show amounts but definitely gives an idea of where the heaviest rainfall has been the past week. These maps tend to be biased dry because they often include stations that are missing precip data.

Interesting! Thanks. Quite a few spots where there is 50-75% of normal (far SE Aurora) and 200+% of normal (Bennett) within 10 miles of one another. There is practically NO green on this map in the northern half of Colorado! Also, we got half an inch of rain this afternoon/evening.

Another day, another heavy rain cell that passes a couple miles away, and I get shut out.

It has gotten so bad that my sprinkler system keeps trying to skip a cycle because it thinks my lawn has gotten plenty of rain.

Another day, another downpour here. .42" in just over an hour earlier this evening. Looks like the airport picked up .50".

This has been the best summer rainy stretch here since June 2023 - which was insane (over 6" of rain in like 2 weeks).
