Just to the left of the Moon is Venus but it probably just looks like a dust spot at this reduced resolution. bowtie` Posted August 8 Author Share Posted August 8 So far behind. This is from 7-2. Started out at the overpass here I got this looking southeast and some of the low-topped convection in the area. Taken with the 24-70 at 70mm... Trouble was there was another batch exactly to the west and I could tell it was going to interrupt the sunset view. So I got back in my car and headed east then north on the back county roads trying to get around the stuff. Ended up catching this very short rainbow segment looking east out in the middle of nowhere. Taken with the 24-70mm at 38mm... Here is a vertical shot showing the low tops as well. Starting off with a sundog (parhelia) on the south side of the Sun. Taken with the 24-70mm at 45mm... Both sides of the sundogs (parhelia). Taken with the 24-70mm at 30mm... The sundog on the northside of the Sun. Taken with the 24-70mm at 55mm... And ending with the post sunset color. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm...
