We had just lost all the deep snow from earlier in the month, and looking at the barren winter landscape was not only weird since we had been white for so long, but i remember that sinking feeling as the impending ice storm was supposedly coming, and I was just praying to get 2" or so of snow before the change to ice so we could have a white landscape again. Well the snow began mid-afternoon Feb 20th and quickly became heavy. By 7pm, DTW was reporting "Heavy Snow, Heavy Thunderstorms, Freezing Fog, Visib 0.06 mile". The thunder/lightning were amazing. Ended up with 10.2" of snow imby, just a little sleet mixed in. Best bust ever. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
