This seems regional thread worthy. Euro 12Z ensembles were scary. Today's op Euro is a disaster, op GFS not as bad. Not enough rain to end the drought, but enough to cause possibly disastrous creek and urban flooding. Pictures below. PW multi-day over 2 inches. Remanant PTC moisture and an impressive (for August) slow moving front. For non-direct tropical flooding, this could be a Donald Sutherland worthy flood event.
Southern Plains Winter 2021-2022
Iceresistance posted a topic in Central/Western StatesI'm starting this early, even though that the frost & freeze has not came in yet, it's time to prepare Last winter was HARD! The Historic 2020 October Ice Storm, the Triple Snowstorms in December (Including the Surprise Snowstorm on December 30th), the New Years Day Winter Storm, the Extreme cold & Snow in February with 18 inches of snow, -22°F Temperatures at the lowest, & even tried to snow in April . . . What will this Winter hold? It appears that unfortunately that this winter is likely going to be as bad or worse than last winter . . . This Summer was cooler than normal, & I have yet to reach 100°F at my house, which has never happened before in my lifetime, OKC has not yet reached 100°F either, it would be the first year since 2003 that it happened . . .
OK/AR/KS/MO 2017 Autumn Disco and OBS.
Cerakoter1984 posted a topic in Central/Western StatesAutumn is coming pretty quickly. Thought some early discussion would be nice. Been a spectacular summer for me. Things are greener in August and more alive looking than I remember seeing in many many years. I am incredibly ready for autumn to begin though as I believe it will be quite beautiful this year.
