Wow, it's dry there! DP here is 76, current temp is 83F. Must be a little drier here too since the windows weren't steamed up this morning. I call it the Agnes steamed window index, lol.
Same thing here, the gust front had most of the wind, less than a quarter inch of rain so far. Momentarily has made it a little more comfortable outside.
Lol, I tried taking a video, and you can see them, but barely. We had a nice t'storm earlier, with about 0.60" of rain. I can hear the next batch rumbling in the distance
Heard our first katydids here last night, and maybe one or two more tonight. A few locusts since late last week, and still have a decent amount of lightning bugs, although they seemed to have peaked 5 or so days ago. Great show this year!
There's a cell popping up to the west of here that with the storm motions earlier from WSW to ENE I would expect to hit here, but it appears that even those isolated cells are now moving more WNW to ESE, in advance of that main line, which looks impressive.
I had the same thought, and an initial kernel fizzled, but we just had a nice tropical feeling downpour, about 0.35" in 10 minutes. No lightning with it, but I can hear some rumbles off to the NE now.
Pretty vigorous storm here, had everything except hail. Lots of lightning and thunder, pretty gusty winds. Picked up 0.90" of rain in about 30 minutes.
Yikes, as I was writing the previous post (outside on my phone) a racoon came up and touched my shin with his damp nose. No light on out here and the screen is pretty bright, so I didn't see him coming. We scared the bejeebers out of each other, lol.
