  1. I'm okay with 60s through April, then 70s in May. I saw a lot of small bugs yesterday and thought of RedSky for some reason. I know he has issues with the stink bugs. I've been wondering if the lack of cold this winter will result in more bugs this year.
  2. 62F here currently. Beautiful day, great for working outside. 3 days in a row with shorts! Grass is starting to darken up, probably about 10 days away from mowing. Got some buds on some bushes and the silver maple, and magnolias and forsythia are getting ready to flower. Saw a couple of butterflies yesterday. Good stuff! Eta - just saw the overnight low Thursday night is forecast to be 28F here. Yikes. Time to think about frost blankets and bamboo poles for the white magnolia....
  3. 1.68" here today - we did need some rain. Eta - the last shaded snow pile went bye bye today.
  4. Wow - guess Birds~69 won't be over this afternoon. What kind of bush is that? Almost looks like a tree, looking above it and behind.
  5. Could be (the coldest night till fall). I was remembering last spring seeing snow in the air at midnight on a Friday night somewhere around May 9th? That's a once in a long time thing so not expecting anything like that this year. Heard peepers one night last week at the tail end of the warm spell, and again 2 nights ago.
  6. Tomorrow should be pretty nice too, sunny and 56 is the forecast for here. Currently 35F.
  7. Thanks for the text. I'll add it to the binder. I'd better hurry though, there's about 2 or 3 wheelbarrows left (in the tipped over pile).
  8. Lol...is consolidating piles allowed per the handbook?
  9. I could move it down to the other pile....
  10. Here is a first - the skinny snow pile actually tipped over today, lol.
  11. Way to go! Looks like you may have gotten screwed by some Mexican dust if you read the text from MidlothianWX. Kind of hard to plan for that, lol.
  12. Snow pile update - still about 3 1/2 ft high, but it's kind of a Hollywood storefront situation, if you look at it from the side, lol. The one in the back is more 3D, it will probably make it to the end of the month.
  13. Sounds good! Looking at some Estes Park area webcams, looks like occasional flakes, the calm before the storm.
  14. Yeah, that was quick! I'm getting a second hand fix from your trip, lol.
  15. Awesome - good luck! Latest model runs favoring a good storm. What kind of vehicle are you getting? Post some pics if you can.
  16. Well, again, good luck, and keep us posted! Do you know where you're flying into yet? Eta- just looked at Estes Park Colorado, which looks to be a favored area, and it's about 1 1/2 hours north of Denver, so Denver I guess? Eta again - just looked, and Frontier has a non-stop out and back that leaves around 9pm tomorrow and I picked Tuesday (since you might get snowed in) and that's a redeye flight, for 178 plus whatever other charges they tack on. Highly recommend non-stop!
  17. I'm in - good luck! That's this weekend right? Better get busy, lol.
  18. Still have a little out back, but this little patch in front of the porch where we hang out probably will disappear before the night is done. It's been real buddy! 69F here currently.
  19. Shrunk a lot today, down to about 4.5ft high. Still some rapidly shrinking patches, but it's all accelerating with the warm days and nights above freezing. Probably will be down to just piles at some point tomorrow. Still holding out better than it would have with warm rains. 42F at 12:40 am.
