Next week you will get another advisory. Long long range also has unseasonable cold in the vicinity of the start of May. Trust me the cold isn't done.
It took 14 tries to stop spell checker from changing unseas... into unreasonable Fook this technology
Well it does have a point, lol.

Picked up 0.55" last night, a little surprised we got that much. Total since Tuesday night is 4.15". Good stuff, the grass is really taking off.
-
-
Added another 0.85", had some nice loud rolling thunder. Total since last night is up to 2.35", total since Tuesday night is now 3.6".
-
1.50" from last night through today so far, looks like some heavy rain coming too. Getting a little thunder and lightning here, also had some this morning. For both events, total is 2.75" at this point. Nice to get a soaker!

Figure I should mention here that I'll be returning to the area permanently in May...
Welcome home! Are you changing offices?

Guidance maps show greater amounts this time for Lehigh. If this does not happen there is some voodoo hex up there.
Probably a connection with the LVwxhistorian guy since he's out in Arizona.

Received 1.25" of rain here last night and early this morning. Did a little mowing late Tuesday in front of the house with a walk behind since it was getting pretty long. Grass looks happy!

Getting some pea sized hail right now. Knocking all the flowers off of the trees. A few mild gusts, but not much else.
Tree flowers can't catch a break this spring. Although the white Magnolia here has made a decent comeback from the string of 20s (lows) last week, somehow. The regular Magnolia on the other hand is all brown with dead flowers. Last time that happened there were a few blooms in July, lol.

April hail brings May snails?
And the smaller the hail the bigger the snail apparently. Plenty of earthworms here, the Robins have been partying.

I know what you're talking about, but Spring's already been here, and now we have to get all our emerging plant life frozen over the next 3 nights. 22F forecast for here tonight. Wtf, know what I'm sayin?

Well, Spring arrived at 11:33am, not too thrilled. Here's hoping for a cool and rainy April and May before the real hot stuff rolls in...
51F/Cloudy
That should take care of the dryness. How about some sun with 60s or 70s and low humidity mixed in?

Thing is they are being asked by the experts to change the bill to make it an hour earlier sunrise. Meh it probably will never get through.
I'll vote for an hour earlier sunrise and an hour later sunset. Get to work on it.

Low this morning ended up being 50 and the high 72. It's currently 64 with dp 56. I know there is a full moon out there obscured by some overcast.
I'm looking at it now, thru a thin haze of clouds. Looks good. Is this an onion moon?

There is one (I think it is a star magnolia) that had budded up and is started to bloom not far from my house... Definitely early! There are also some cherries around the area that are blooming (although those seem to have sporadic blooms on and off all year including winter if there is a long enough warm spell).
Seems like normally a tall order to avoid a freeze for the last 2 weeks of March, but next week looks okay at least.

GFS looks to have way way overestimated cold air the last 10 days of March, should have known it was the old bias. We still get a cold shot on the ECM but looks limited and late in the period.
I hope it's real late in the period, our white magnolia started to flower today. Way early!

Not to be fooled by fake spring. Strong guidance indications of significant cold wave in the last five days of March. Possibly snow if a wave is timed right. Same pattern of more warmth than cold interspersed by a deep cold wave. The EKG pattern.
In like a lamb out like a polar bear?
If it's gonna be cold, I say let it snow! Did you plant your onions yet?

2.0" here, not enough on the driveway for a snow pile, but it looks great on the grass and bushes.

Measured 1" here, sun's been peeking out. Had to scrape off the chairs on the porch, lol.

Was under a warning here but nothing too intense, had a 10 minute shower for 0.12" of rain, a couple of rumbles of thunder, and not a whole lot of wind. Hi was 83F here, currently 67.
