Next week you will get another advisory. Long long range also has unseasonable cold in the vicinity of the start of May. Trust me the cold isn't done.

It took 14 tries to stop spell checker from changing unseas... into unreasonable Fook this technology

Well it does have a point, lol.

Does anyone know when Mt. Holly is offering Skywarn classes again? Preferably an online class since I don't want to drive an hour and a half to the NWS office.

I don't know but you can find it here on Mt. Holly's site:

Getting some pea sized hail right now.  Knocking all the flowers off of the trees.  A few mild gusts, but not much else.

Tree flowers can't catch a break this spring. Although the white Magnolia here has made a decent comeback from the string of 20s (lows) last week, somehow. The regular Magnolia on the other hand is all brown with dead flowers. Last time that happened there were a few blooms in July, lol.

Spring is coming up on Y'all, & fast!

On Thursday/Day 5, a severe risk will likely continue eastward into
the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast States, including the potential for
fast-moving low-topped storms capable of wind damage in the
       Mid-Atlantic region.

I know what you're talking about, but Spring's already been here, and now we have to get all our emerging plant life frozen over the next 3 nights. 22F forecast for here tonight. Wtf, know what I'm sayin?

Thing is they are being asked by the experts to change the bill to make it an hour earlier sunrise. Meh it probably will never get through.

I'll vote for an hour earlier sunrise and an hour later sunset. Get to work on it.

There is one (I think it is a star magnolia) that had budded up and is started to bloom not far from my house...  Definitely early!  There are also some cherries around the area that are blooming (although those seem to have sporadic blooms on and off all year including winter if there is a long enough warm spell).

Seems like normally a tall order to avoid a freeze for the last 2 weeks of March, but next week looks okay at least.

GFS looks to have way way overestimated cold air the last 10 days of March, should have known it was the old bias. We still get a cold shot on the ECM but looks limited and late in the period.

I hope it's real late in the period, our white magnolia started to flower today. Way early!

Not to be fooled by fake spring. Strong guidance indications of significant cold wave in the last five days of March. Possibly snow if a wave is timed right. Same pattern of more warmth than cold interspersed by a deep cold wave. The EKG pattern.

In like a lamb out like a polar bear?

If it's gonna be cold, I say let it snow! Did you plant your onions yet?
