    3K NAM also with more sleet than freezing rain, but more freezing rain than the regular NAM. They both have two rounds of precip for NC.

    Hope the NAM is right. This would save a lot of headaches with less freezing rain and more sleet.

    NAM does have a line of freezing rain in the foothills at hour 36 that changes to rain as it moves across NC, but not anywhere near the amount of freezing rain the HRRR is showing.

    Yeah, looks like mostly sleet in NC before the precip moves north.

    Really hope the HRRR is wrong. That's way too much freezing rain.

    RAP looks colder than the HRRR with some snow and sleet in northern NC.

    Current HRRR run doesn't really have precip in NC until 8 hours from now.

    Greg Fishel didn't seem too concerned about it for the Triangle in the video he posted earlier on Facebook.

    And before it looked locked in for a major ice storm it looked locked in for a major snow storm until it changed to the major ice storm just 24 hours later 3 days out. I hope it isn't a major ice storm, but this storm has just been so annoying.

    WRAL met Mike Maze posted a video on Facebook talking about the models showing less precip, ice totals less on the models, and maybe changing to rain Sunday night.

    Just watched Greg Fishel's latest video on Facebook. He mentioned the heavier precip shifting north and starting out as sleet in the Triangle. It seemed he thought south of the Triangle would have more freezing rain.

    Hopefully if this one becomes a dud it will show on the models more than 3 days out this time.

    RAP has about 3 hours of snow for Wake before turning to sleet and then going back and forth with freezing rain and sleet.

    RAP has snow here in Wake at 6:00 PM tomorrow night, while the others don't have precip here until after midnight.

    RAP looks to have more snow at the start for northern NC. Also has the precip coming in a whole lot sooner.
