Had some storms roll through but nothing really severe. As usual we don't get anything severe unless we have some sun beforehand.

People always scream bust too early with these systems.

Alabama is getting hit with multiple tornadoes now.

Can't believe folks on another board are callig it a bust because they haven't had it as bad in north AL.

Reports of numerous trees down and people trapped in structures in Gordo, AL.

Hasn't that area been hit by a by a big tornado in the recent past?

Local mets always hype of the severe weather and downplay any chance of snow. WRAL has a weather alert day any time we have anything more than rain.

Afraid this is going to be a very busy day for tornadoes. Maybe some storms this morning can help stabilize the atmosphere so things aren't bad later today.

I was just going to say and tomorrow is supposed to be worse.

Just received an alert from my scanner app of a tornado in MO.

Yeah, I should have said Alabama and Mississippi.

Alabama has been ground zero for a lot of big tornadoes the past couple of decades.

Was going to post the same thing. 49 here with a forecasted high of 64. It's just been too cloudy.

Don't think much will happen here in central NC if we don't get some sun in the morning. We usually need some sun to provide the spark for severe storms here. Today has been a lot cooler than forecasted, too

That does not look good for the deep south tomorrow. Maybe it will end up being a bust.

Sun is out now. I think the lack of sun before the storms develop and come through really limits the impact.

Under a severe thunderstorm warning, but it's not doing anything here right now.

Not surprised with it being cloudy and drizzling all morning. We usually need some sun to begin with to get any severe storms here.

Future radar looks nasty in the Triangle between 1 and 3. Wonder if the watch will be extended.
