    WRAL busted big time calling for twice as much freezing rain in the Triangle than RAH did.

    I think it was a win that we got sleet instead of freezing rain. I would say it was a bust with the models, especially the globals, with the amount of freezing rain they were showing. I think even the short range models were showing more freezing rain except the NAM. Also a huge bust in the globals with them all having a monster snow storm here 4 to 5 days out.

    The models that showed mostly freezing rain instead of sleet with last night's precip and the precip overnight were wrong, so really no reason to think this will be different.

    They were calling for a half inch of freezing rain or more here while RAH was saying a quarter to a half inch.

    Looks like mostly sleet here. Hardly any ice on the trees. Woke up at 5:30 this morning to get the dog out and it was coming down like crazy.

    Seeing these reports of sleet in Wake County but the models don't have precip here until at least 8 hours from now.

    Went from over a foot of snow to a crippling ice storm to maybe not much of anything in 5 days. The models really do suck outside 1 or 2 days with winter weather in NC.
