    NWS obs don't report virga. SW WV stations reporting light snow. Eastern KY moderate.

    Thermals could be right, but also doesn't matter if it is not modeling the storm correctly or qpf. It is significantly drier than all the other models and the other ones are getting wetter each run.

    There is snow breaking out in eastern KY to SW WV on NWS observation stations. Nam doesn't have snow there for another 4 hours. lol

    Nam at hour 12 shifted the sleet/snow line like 75 miles south in one run. From there I don't really care what it shows lol.

    Geez local storm reports coming out of NW Louisiana with .75" ZR accumulation already. They are in trouble.

    Hope Nashville stays snow as long as possible. 19 there with moderate snow.

    If there is snow and sleet then ice they usually keep the winter storm warning. Ice storm warnings usually just for freezing rain.

    Yup. Most interesting storm in years, not just some northern stream 1-3” 6hr storm.

    It’s just cause the qpf thump is heavier, we need it to come in like a wall or we are cooked

    Ya'll over here analyzing end of run hrrr maps and models we'd never look at cause they are garbage. Hard to keep reading this thread right now. lol.

    Will be watching Nashville. They are forecasted for 2-3" If they get thumped with more then might be good sign for us, if they get skunked then we are cooked.

    Who has the sleet accumulation map from nam?

    May be 4-6" of snow on the nam but it is also like 2-4" sleet which is worse impacts.

    precip always off on models i am sure you compare nam, euro etc they would be off too

    HRRR changes every run with qpf placement it will be different at 18Z
