Euro doesn’t warm up here... still 31 as the precip moves out... most of the 1+ inches of liquid fell with temps around 25. Would be almost entirely sleet Judging by the depth of the cold layer and 925 temps.
Give me rain and 70 all day over a big Freezing rain event. Sleet, I can take..

Gave me goosebumps looking at this picture. I remember the mattresses in our house froze. That was a scary storm, I didn't sleep for 2 nights because of all the pine trees popping around the house. My dad worked for the DOT and he didn't come home for days.
That is why a $500 investment in a generator is so worth it, even if its only used every other year!

That was the storm of my life and I'm now 50.
Yep-that’s the benchmark for anyone under 60 living in the upstate area. 14” of snow. I was in high school at the time, and we were out of school for over a week...

Man that looks rock solid for us. Snow down to middle MS and AL, just right there, and a high in PA. How does that not track east and get us? This is crazy stuff.
That does look awfully good for my backyard. Too bad it’ll change by tonight!!

All too well..me and burrel got the snowhole shaft! Winter storm warning fail for here.
So blending all the models gives me a wet ground with token flakes looks like. That’s about par for the course in this area. Hope you NC peeps get hammered..

Anywhere from 2-8" in Oconee and Pickens!
If ANYONE deserves a good snow, its NW upstate of SC. Even in storms where Greenville cashed in, you guys would be shafted..

The pattern is totally opposite of where we want to be. NAO and AO is positive, and PNA is negative. I'm with you guys in preferring to see this pattern now and not in four or six weeks. I'm in the mindset that what goes up must eventually come down (indices wise).
Agree 100%!!

Yes, but how many times have we seen an unusually cold late November/December, only to see the warmth return during the 'peak' winter timeframe? I'd much rather see it this way!..
