Please don’t cut and paste that garbage on this forum. I’m not a Mod, but I know they don’t want that here..

Gotcha. Well, us upstate folks are in the perfect position, given the inevitable NW shift that will come..

All he is doing is giving the viewers the possibilities. We are smart enough to know what he is doing and we appreciate his contributions to keeping us safe in the Upstate. Chris is one of the best in the business.
Well in 2014 he mentioned GSP getting like 14" (as models showed), when we got less than 2". He's learned to mostly take the conservative approach to accumulations, as NWS has, until this. Which is why I'm surprised..

It wasn’t Chris who posted it. One of the other mets at WYFF did. Maybe he had to approve it though first. Not sure.
As chief Met, I'm sure it was approved by him..

I picked up an inch of fluff on the back side. I'm calling it 5.5 inches of snow/sleet. Highest measured snow depth was 5 inches due to compaction from sleet in between snow. It's easy to see b/c I can measure below and above the sleet/crust layer now and know what I lost to compaction. (measured 4 inches before sleet picked up, and snow under the crust layer only 3 inches now).
Burrel,
that backside snow just arrived in my backyard. Moderate snow at the moment. Would be nice to pickup another 1/2” or so..

Back to moderate snow here in Greenville..

Brad P honking about a switchover to snow this afternoon/evening as well despite models not showing much in the way of organized precip or deform bands. Good to hear.
Weather Met here in the upstate (Chris Justus) calling for an additional 1-2” of backside snow..

i'm actually getting more bullish for backside snow for the Upstate. The changeover to snow line is racing northwest right now. It's already moved through gwinnett county, ga. Appears it'll get here by noon and there will still be some convective type showers in the upstate for a few hours after that. Thinking we can pick up another 1-2 to cap off the glacier.
Thinking the same thing Burrel. Snow reports in ATL right now..

Upstate folks…watching radar and Chris Justus, looks like we might be in for another nice round of snow this afternoon!

We got about 6 inches of snow before the sleet mixed in. It's now 26 degrees with all sleet and howling winds. This storm has gone from fun and games to downright scary. Also, I was looking at future radar returns. If that moisture out in Alabama holds together, look out. We are going to either get hit with another round of heavy snow or a crippling ice storm.
I think that’s the wraparound snow that could visit us. Let’s pray it’s snow and not ice!
-
I think power outages are inevitable, given the winds. Was hoping that part of the forecast was gonna be wrong!
-
Boy those winds really picking up here!!

Burrel,
you think we got some goods coming with backside swinging thru this afternoon?

Chris Justus here in Greenville already saying the initial band of snow incoming is over performing. He’s nota ready to up his totals, but leaving the door open to doing so..

The thing is, neither could the KC defense keep the Bills out of the endzone, thus the argument that a coin toss should not carry so much weight in deciding the outcome..
