On my third power loss in the last 12 hours. Good news is there’s a bunch of guys standing around some PECO trucks and orange cones down the street.

Getting a sun shower from it, but mainly passing to my north. Dropped my temp down to 82F but the DP is still a craptastic 75F.

Pretty much matches what happened here. One really strong gust when the line first hit. About .40” this morning with another .50” this evening. Still getting an occasional lightning flash and thunder. 69F/DP 68F

Those things used to terrify me as a kid. Came to learn they are essentially harmless — the males don’t have stingers and the females would rather use them on cicadas than humans. Who knew? 83F/DP 65F

Hasn't that been our issue of late? Even when we get blocking, it links up with the SE ridge. Hopefully the Nino couples with the atmosphere this year and beats down the pig ridge. Bit more sticky out there this morning, 73F/DP 63F.

Heard my first katydid last night. It was also the first night in weeks I had the AC off and windows open, so maybe they've been out there for awhile and I hadn't noticed. 62F/DP 60F

89F for a high today, so no “heatwave” here. Regardless, it was still a bad hair week. AC off with a refreshing breeze blowing through. Final items still to check off on the summer list are hearing katydids and seeing cicada killers.

Looks like it blew up after passing us, great light show off to the south. But it did drop my temp down to 76F.

I didn’t check the obs but was outside around 8am and it wasn’t horrible. Stepped out again around 9:30 and fuhgettaboutit!! Currently 87/DP 77F

Seriously, “the sky is falling, we’re all going to die” posts are ridiculous. Our new climate is weeks of drought followed by weeks of flooding rains.
