  1. I’ll help you out, it’s not better, unless you like rain.
  2. Close the shades. Heinous gfs run. Not much going on until a massive cutter at the end of the run
  3. It’s been showing up on multiple sets of guidance for several days now. My advice is people prepare accordingly
  4. Popes cold and dry, warm and wet. Has some merit as modeled
  5. Look at where the low center is. Needs a lot of work.
  6. There have been plenty of hints of that over the last few days. At this point, why not? We are approaching 2 years since our last appreciable snow here
  7. Little to no snow in northern Maine in late December also it’s not a 50/50 coin flip either. That’s fake news.
  8. Lmao. no snow happens in the best of times up there, didn’t you know?
  9. 13.5 degrees. Zzzzzzz for late December
  10. Some snow for the Deep South at the end of the gfs run. Still crickets up here though, of course.
  11. The best thing you can say/hope about the 28th system is maybe it will spare NNE heavy rain.
  12. It’s too early to tell, but I’d be shocked if white Christmas stats weren’t being influenced by shrinking cold seasons. December is now a transition month, a quasi extension of fall.
  13. Even if we start improving storm tracks, we still have a source region issue, as has been pointed out by many Mets. So yeah, I’d favor way up and way in through the first week of Jan.
  14. It’ll be interesting to see when we reach 30 years and can draw some real conclusions. It might be a fluke, but I suspect it’s at least in part to December becoming more hostile to winter weather. Not saying we’ll never see a white Christmas again, but the numbers definitely raise and eyebrow
  15. That tracks, we had a crusty few inches here.
  16. I’ve been pointing this out for a few years now. Last one was 2010 here. They don’t happen anymore. for reference, the last white Christmas I was 16 and a junior in high school. I’ll be turning 30 in March lol
  17. Instead of an icy death ribbon this Christmas, folks will be paying $175 a ticket to ski on a rockslide.
  18. It’s looked about the same for days now minus a few runs that started to tend colder.
  19. Mother Nature is taking care of that for you, no worries.
  20. Most guidance is suggesting after the new year before anything worth watching may materialize.
  21. Doesn’t look like very good snowmaking weather either. We’re on to 2024
