The best thing you can say/hope about the 28th system is maybe it will spare NNE heavy rain.

It’s too early to tell, but I’d be shocked if white Christmas stats weren’t being influenced by shrinking cold seasons. December is now a transition month, a quasi extension of fall.

Even if we start improving storm tracks, we still have a source region issue, as has been pointed out by many Mets. So yeah, I’d favor way up and way in through the first week of Jan.

It’ll be interesting to see when we reach 30 years and can draw some real conclusions. It might be a fluke, but I suspect it’s at least in part to December becoming more hostile to winter weather. Not saying we’ll never see a white Christmas again, but the numbers definitely raise and eyebrow

I’ve been pointing this out for a few years now. Last one was 2010 here. They don’t happen anymore. for reference, the last white Christmas I was 16 and a junior in high school. I’ll be turning 30 in March lol
