  1. Icon is really the only model that holds snow together to the eastern MA/RI region.
  2. CMC is a light advisory event... probably just enough to make a commute miserable.
  3. Gfs has like a mew England force field lol
  4. I think the ceiling for this “event” is pretty low east of the CT/RI border and north of of the mass pike. I would be shocked if this broke right if we even got more than 3-4” here.
  5. It is, but the problem remains. It just absolutely shreds and shunts south as soon as it reaches the area.
  6. What is the pay like, anyway? My brother was looking into it, but he was pretty concerned they didn’t vet very well. You used to hear all these ads that they’d basically hire without resume or really anything else. Hopefully that’s changed
  7. Hard to believe we are already approaching the 6 year anniversary of the blizzard of 2015 that kicked off that epic run. Time goes by so fast.
  8. Might be anecdotal; but going back 5-10 years. It seems the majority of our winter periods blow, and are defined by some timely big events. Obvious exceptions for Jan 11 Feb 15 etc etc. I would say on balance, it just hasn’t been very wintery over the duration in this area at least.
  9. If that verifies, you tip your cap and move on to next season.
  10. I know this is beating a dead horse with you at this point, but you do realize you are posting in the New England forum right? I don’t think 0.0” of precip over the next 2+ weeks is a good look. You know, here in southern NEW ENGLAND.
  11. Ground truth is pretty meh... just some flurries is my guess
  12. You’re not wrong. It’s weakening as it approaches... so the further east and northeast you are, the worse off. Im not expecting much here honestly. Maybe SW CT gets something decent. Even on the guidance hitting us.... by the time it reaches most of the area, it’s pretty weak sauce.
  13. Kind of craps out as it reaches us though
  14. Lol.... I would never move to the north shore... I guess it’s a preference thing, and I grew up here as well. there are a lot of nice places to live down here, that aren’t as congested.
  15. Suns out guns out at work in Easton.
  16. Bridgewater, Raynham, west Bridgewater area isn’t bad at all.
  17. I think the school thing is way overblown generally. If your kid is smart, they’ll excel. I went to school in Taunton, so did my wife, and we both turned out just fine, and I’d have no problem sending my kids there. Taunton by no means would be considered a good school district.
  18. Tomorrow’s snow has pretty predictably gone poof on the latest hrrr runs
  19. The NAM sisters aren’t really enthused for much outside of an inch in western Conn maybe
  20. Tomorrow looks like a CT down to like Southern RI and extreme SE Mass deal.... it kind of fizzles out for my area it seems like.
  21. I’m selling snow here tomorrow... maybe on the beaches
  22. I’ll take things that won’t happen for $100, Alex. I do like the whiff whiff cutter on the gfs... that something that will play out. Im ready for spring... need to prepare the site for the shed I ordered... ready for some warmer weather. Going to build a fire pit too.
  23. How does one break into that line of work? (Home appraiser). I had a family friend a while ago that mentioned what a good gig that was. Just curious
  24. Our house will probably never worth more, but the problem is, we’d easily be out is anywhere else by cash buyers etc etc. We could sell our home tomorrow, but where are we going to go?
