Am I wrong in saying the models keep inching the storm further to the west? I’ll believe the straight north track when it happens. I would not be surprised at all if it makes landfall in Florida.

Looks and feels like fall this morning, 57 for a low here. Beautiful!
Crazy that when it was 57 in Easley and Pickens, it was 70 in Greenville.

Up to an inch of beautiful rain this morning. I don’t think anyone forecast this much rain.

Not sure where to post this. John Cessarich is retiring. https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/life/2019/08/21/wyff-news-4-s-john-cessarich-announces-retirement/2074076001/

The Upper State Fair seems to bring lots of rain and cloudy weather when it is here. Look for good rains to begin on or after August 29.

CPC out this afternoon with 14 day outlook and is not good if you want a cool down. Large are of central and eastern US in the deep reds. They are favoring the European with strong ridging versus GFS and troughiness. Since the heat always verifies in the long range and long range cold is like pixie dust, I am sure the heat will verify.

But, it looks like the east coast is not in the reds, right? The central part of the nation looks to be in the slight risk category.

Disappointed with only 0.30 inches of rain. However, the refreshing cool breeze makes me forget how dry it is.

Heavy downpours sound good to me. I hope the “gloom and doom” forecasts continue. We need the rain. Selfishly, I want it to rainout the couple of neighbors that shoot their little fireworks well after midnight.

Hottest feeling day of the year, and it’s only the end of June.
-
What a storm we just had. Winds up to 50 mph. Over 2” rain so far, and it’s still coming down. Looks like training effect rains for another hour or two.
-
Already at 1.60" of rain.
-
Trying to keep the grass watered, but the high temps and the winds are not co-operating. Hard to imagine another week or two without rain.
-
Finished with 1.70" of beautiful rain at my house.

Well not seeing much good news on the horizon. One day of a wedge on Saturday and then it looks to be an early summer type pattern for the forseeable future with temps around 82/60 for the upstate, or about 10-15 degrees above average! Would love to have a longer cooler spring, maybe keep some 70s/50s for a few weeks but not in the cards. Oh well, at least Accuweather doesn't have me hitting 90 until June 21st!
Sounds like great news.

Thankfully, this storm has been quite tame in the Upstate of S.C. I pray it stays that way.

Beautiful.

Good for me-don't any more rain here in the Upstate anyway...
We don't near bitter cold either. Concerned about the peach crop.

Good news snow lovers! Some of my S.C. friends told me that WYFF said yesterday that the cold weather is over for this winter and an early spring is coming.
Not true. They actually said the opposite.
