Reminds me of a less intense version of 1/27/11. We had a nice 4" snow in the morning, a break during the afternoon, then all hell broke loose at night. I like those multi-faceted events.

Rain is done, temp in the 30s, pack still solid. Analog to Xmas Grinch was a fail. Let's pile it up Thursday/Friday and keep it coming until March.

I'm using this time to pile all the snow in my yard into one gigantic pile, which I will then cover with an insulating blanket. The pack must be protected at all costs!

But for that little stretch of the spine of the Apps, an unbroken chain of winter storm watches and warning from coast to coast. Don't see that often.

Yeah, this feels like that kind of setup. Cold draining down the valley right to New Haven. Hopefully with all the limbs taken down by storms last summer, power loss risk will be somewhat mitigated.
