  1. I agree actually. I like how the low is getting shoved s and e with every one. Of we lined all the ducks up we’d be set for a pretty classic event with CAD. Like Bob said, the transient nature of the NS is the tricky part. We need triple 7s
  2. GFS is less of a front end snow thump. Primariy low is further South and East, making for a stronger warm surge. If we had a stronger block.... Still a long way to go and I doubt this is going to be the final track.
  3. I think the problem is not your thoughts, we value contributions from knowledgeable folks (especially a retired met with 30 years experience). The problem is how you present your thoughts. The criticism wasn't particularly constructive and seemed like a constant attack on PSU. It's perfectly fine to have disagreements and even criticize. I think it was your tone that seemed to be at issue.
  4. Huh? It shows frozen within 2 weeks. Considering where we were just 2 days ago, I’m not sure how this is a loss.
  5. So y’all are saying there’s a chance...
  6. Yay, I did the rare panic jump early. As a vet, I'm embarrassed and ashamed. I'm going to go home and drink 1 less beer than normal as pittance.
  7. Finally. Moderate snow here. Better enjoy these next 15 mins
  8. This is a pretty solid bust for DC S and E. I wouldn't care as much if we had a legit chance within the next two weeks. Well, this is part of being in civilization vs cows. Trade offs people, trade offs.
  9. Can snow accumulate at 46 degrees? Asking for a friend.
  10. Prime snow temps. Once we get down to 40 at 5:30 pm, the getting will be good. I'm at Navy Yard with a stout 5 feet elevation.
  11. That UHI algorithm is a bitch. I think it overdoes it a bit. Has rain all the way up to the Montgomery/Frederick Line. Sure.
  12. DC isn't as bad as I thought going from the comments here, but I mean, I know where I live. I don't have any expectations that this is going to be anything but snow TV or some kind of mixed mess while the usual areas are getting ripped. It is what it is, no point in whining about it. I'm just happy to be tracking something and seeing snow, so I'm stoked.
  13. Well, I aint mad at the NAM. I'll take my slushy inch and call it victory!
  14. I think we're at the peak. We back down a little from him to set the expectations right. If I get a sloppy inch of snow, I'm lucky.
  15. I have. I'm scared it might be tenuous though. I'm cautiously optimistic. When the next big one hits, that'll be the true test!
  16. Yay! Rejoice...we're all going to get half a foot of snow with surface temps of 36 degrees!!
  17. Indeed you do. But yeah, models show it start to develop down around MS, TN area like 9pm or so tonight, I think.
