  1. Bretton Woods final day is April 10th.
  2. Rapid snowpack melt, ground thawed and ice out on major bodies of water...triggers the peepers...I don't hear them yet but I expect them soon
  3. I think this thread will get new life starting around April 15th...warm season is coming...
  4. My car thermo hit 57 degrees today. It was the first day I would call humid...even though it's all relative and this weather would be refreshing in July or August
  5. Persistent light upslope for over 24hrs... Town of Carroll PD Facebook post that bears are waking up. Tis the season I'd really like some sun and warmer temps
  6. Presby owns it. The same owner of the COG
  7. https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/2022/03/12/owner-of-cog-railway-proposes-lodging-on-mount-washington/ Around 5800ft
  8. It would be built on private land. I think it will get the green light. We could use something not owned by Omni, in BW.
  9. I'm liking this Sping. I wish it would stick around.
  10. 61 degrees today! I had some windows open for a bit.
  11. Just had surgery yesterday. So I'm in for some days of pain. I am allergic to acetaminophen. And most narcotics are cut with acetaminophen. I have a straight oxy prescription. But the after effects of anesthesia left me with a raging headache and nausea. And Oxy also creates nausea, so I have been doing 800mg advil. I now have an anti-nausea prescription. Going to try an oxy, see how it goes...
  12. So, I highly recommend not blowing out you ACL. Pain after surgery is unreal. I can barely move. No weight bearing at all with my left leg for about 6 weeks. I just lay on my couch staring at the ceiling. But, at least I will be back walking in time for summer. So I'm just immobile during mud season

  14. Yeah, this next round of rain should wipe out any natural snow at 302 level. I live right across from the ski area and have such an amazing view from my house. After the last round of rain storms, bare patched showed up on the ski trails, especially West Mtn. The snow mobile trails were also completely bare. We got around 8 inches of fluff this past week that covered the brown patches, but natural snow cover is so thin. So this next round of warm temps and rain is going to put the nail in the coffin on the snowmobiling, and any natural snow trails at the ski area
  15. Holy heck it was cold today. And the wind was raging. Every gust created a ground blizzard. Tonight I drove through the Notch and met a friend for dinner at Delaneys Hole in the Wall. Had wanted to do Moat Mtn Brewery but they are closed wed/thur. On the way home, I had to drive through 3-4 ground blizzards coming back up the notch. Complete whiteout, 0 visibility. Kinda scary
