3km is close to 18z, a little less than 0z...but the last few runs, has been more consistent than the 12km

I've never seen so much uncertainty with a storm. Will Methuen, MA get 20? Will Methuen, MA get 33? Will Methuen, MA get 13? Will subsidence set up over Methuen, MA? Will Methuen, MA be in the deformation band? If so, for how long? What direction will the winds be in Methuen, MA? What will the ratios be in Methuen, MA? Just insanity from a forecasting perspective.

That explains the difference...when I posted it was amped, it was at like hour 21. Wasnt looking at the surface yet.

Yeah...I was focused more on those currently on the fringes, not whether methuen mass gets 27" or 33".

The trough being amped is what helped do that. What is even happening here

It definitely was with the trough. But it does seem that we are at the point where meso low dynamics are equally/more important.

I am seeing that, displaced east by anywhere from 15-50 miles. Because I generally ignore the NAM.

It looks like a good initial push west though before that? If the ccb deform hits the same area as the initial push, that's where we could see some huge totals imho. But it might not get that far west/south.
