  1. These precipitation extremes were measured at Central Park and go back to 1869. During that time, the heaviest downpour recorded for a single day there was 8.28 inches (210.3 millimetres) on September 23, 1882.
  2. if we can get another inch or 2 we will i think have 2 months in a row over 10 inches in the park i wonder if that has ever happened before.

  4. are you sure your temp is accurate i doubt you hit 90 earlier..
  5. nyc only had 2 days of over 90 degree heat and doubtful we hit 90 today so officially nyc would not have had a heatwave..

  10. a heat wave is 3 days in a row of 90 degree temps. i am very confident after this current heat wave that will not happen . until next summer.. unless this current heat wave did not meet such criteria, thursday and friday will be over 90 not sure about saturday or if the park hit 90 today..
