    Jan 88 storm had a +NAO! So , it’s overated, but this winter we have found so many new ways to fail, it’s unprecedented!!! A great, midooki Niño, that somehow, presents itself as a roaring La Niña! Don’t forget, our best snows come in March, and the NW Piedmont, is getting a crippling ice storm tomorrow!

    I’d rather have this look at day 12-15 on the GFS, than that on a 4-5 day lead on the GFSv3!

    I think it’s the ONLY model with an even remote decent look! And that’s sad! All the other ones are straight torch/ SE ridge, ugliness, till Atleast 3rd week of February

    First half of Feb, through the 15th, looks abysmal on op runs and ensembles! Hard to want to talk about the same thing we have been since Dec 10th! This is looking like Jan/Feb 2012 redux, minus a few nuisance freezing rain events in foothills

    Was just at Home Depot yesterday! They had a whole pallet in stock! Starting this weekend, you’ll need it! Atleast there is a 10-12 day out storm threat on the GFSv3!
