Really with blocking we cannot get no worse than what we just went through. We had zero blocking in winter and we were wll above average.

The Euro looks much different than it had. Placing tge center over WNC this last run.

Time is rapidly running out for anyone outside the mountains. The chance for snow drastically decreases as we head into March outside the mountains. Especially with the way high latitude blocking looks. Its a wonder we have seen anything at all with a plus plus AO and NAO.

Yeah we need several years of research for anything solid. The problem is that the ice coverage is constantly changing and we are in uncharted territory when it comes to the current climate.

No kidding.

You should be in a prime spot for this one. Actually I think most of the mountains could get a foot plus.

I'm not saying it's too cold to snow. All im saying is we live in the SE. Historically in some of our coldest months ever they have been some of our least snowiest months around here. It is a well known fact that a lot of the big snowstorms we see around here we get with temps right around 30 degrees. Yes i have seen it snow around 0 degree but we did not get a foot of snow from that. Having such cold high pressure systems bearing down on the region is hurting our chances for snow as we have already seen with basically two systems disappearing.

Lol she deleted one of my post telling Grit that the trends on the models where getting worse. I could care less. The too cold too snow and people trying to talk themselves into believing it will snow in there backyard are funny. Its like every new update is the same thing. Trough is sharper it looks better through about hour 54, Mack comes in BOOM we are going to have a great run then it just takes a nose dive!

Why would it with massive high pressure building in. Have you not seen the extreme cold coming in?

Yeah if we get what looks to be coming then a lot of people will be caught off guard. The roads could be a disaster.

It sure is along with the southern facing mountains in SW NC.

Actually with the way things have trended we are left high and dry. No moisture around.

No kidding! I was looking at the snow all the way into Mexico and along the Gulf coast in Louisiana, Alabama, and parts of the Panhandle. Shoot even New Orleans kind of got in on that run. Pretty crazy how the trough is oriented then the moisture comes in deep.

Congrats gulf coast on this run.

Yeah do not come to the moutains with 2wd. Just too dangerous and everything is going to stick at once here. Current temps are in the mid to low 20s .

Lol this made me laugh! Man I do love living in the mountains. I know it's a touchy subject with most about the NW trend. I had a few try to get into an argument with me yesterday and I just dropped it because I know it stings when things look like crap getting close to lift off. I do hope a lot of people can get a decent / great snow.
