Whatever...I'll take a Grinch storm if it means more sustained cold and snow chances after. I think most on here would too.

Wicked storm next week with rain and wind with snow to our south lol.
Not a bad setup for snow on the 18
Haha that’s out of the 09-10 playbook.
Supression depression then rain

I know, right? I usually start working on my tan around Groundhog Day. I'm just white enough by then to start to feel the effect of that 2.5 UV index.
Round that up to 3 and my pale Irish skin sizzles.

Phew. I was concerned there for a moment. Lol

Gusts or temps?
Let's shoot for both.
Christmas shoppers in tees blown away.

Next weekend's cutter looks like a deluge. GL NNE.
-
FYSA - There will be plenty of melts if next weekend's deluge verifies with cold/dry following or threats of more cutters in the week following. It should be a good show.

The latter...meaning that I expect it.
I have never been on board for a banner December, and it worries me absolutely zero percent.
I still feel that we will get something decent this month, though...if we don't, then its just bad luck....this is not Dec 2014 or 2006.
Very likely something the last week of the month....not crazy about the mid month deal for much snow in our area.
That's what I thought. Not as "grinchy" if there's no snow already on the ground. It's only especially "grinchy" when our good pack gets stolen from under our feet in the days leading up to Christmas.

Not affiliated with a conference or a regional gtg. Inevitably "those" seem to crash and burn under confusion and opinion of preference.
Thread was started to nail-down date ONLY, PERIOD.
NO debate over LOCATION.
Would have been nice. I did fly up for Thanksgiving. Seeing all the great-nephews and nieces, some for the first time, my four siblings all in one place for the first time in three years. I personally don't know how many of these I have left given deteriorating health. Was planning on driving-up but one thing I noticed was the volume of traffic is absolutely horrendous. Time of year combined risking "the other drivers skills" and putting the Trackhawk into situational driving events is just not worth the risk. With that said I'm withdrawing my participation.
Maybe next year god willing.Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk? Sick

I'm fine with how this is shaking out...even gave the grinch a shutout in the outlook.
Shutout (good) or shoutout (bad)?

Looking forward to next weekend's deluge.

Somewhat hyperbolic on my part. It’s wintry there though. Doesn’t matter anyway. It’s 10+ days out lol

18z GFS is comical for the 12/15 threat. MA special that cuts. DC gets warning snows. SNE gets rain.

Now that is better
Let's move that trough off AK a little closer to the Aleutians. That smells of fast flow/late development and suppression to this amateur weenie.

Odds that we hit 100 pages on this thread before BOS records another measurable (>0.1")?
I'd say high to very high.

Is Ginxy Anthony Bourdain's doppleganger?

I think you all should do a year or two in a non-snowy climate. It helps with your patience.
I experienced a ratter in DC (1" sleet, dusting of snow for the entire winter) which makes these frustrating periods easier to deal with.
-
6z GFS whiffs DC.
About to board that Ginxy train. Holding out until 12z tomorrow.
-
Quite the wintry 18z GFS OP.

I’d be interested to know whether the Pope still thinks this cuts with the best snows for NH and VT...inquiring minds would like to know.

This place is Fenway Park after Bucky Dent left the yard.
We wait until Friday once the northern SWs get sampled. If we see positive moves before then...gravy. If we see negative moves before then...good riddance.

Nice panhandle of TX blizzard likely.
