This has all the makings of a heavy rain event. Most areas should see at least 2.00" of rain with some areas exceeding 3.00" in the NYC metro.

Very wet 00z NAM run. Widespread 2-3" rainfall with higher amounts especially as you head further north and east.

00z NAM is very wet for the area Friday into Saturday. It has 2-3" of rain with a stripe of 3-4" from southwest NJ into the NYC metro area. The 00z GFS has a widespread 1-2" rainfall for the area.

The line weakened a bit when it got here, had some impressive winds initially that died down fairly quickly. Had some brief heavy rain as well. Could see some additional rain/storms before things start to quiet down.

It looks like we could pick up 1.0-1.5" of rain Friday into Saturday morning with locally higher amounts possible. It should be a good drink for the area. Sunday also trending wetter as well.
