  2. So much for that epic severe threat 4/5 days ago.

  9. Wild afternoon in Nanuet. Started off as a little blip on the radar and quickly got organized and went straight nuclear. Had two major gust of wind, right at the beginning of the storm and then during a secondary blow up of storms. Had marble/dime sized hail. It was intense for a few minutes. Some of the craziest Lightning I can remember. Been living up here 4 years and that’s the first time losing powet I can remember. Luckily it was only out for an hour and change.

  12. Had brief 50-60 gusts at the start. Power went out after the wind. Something most likely got hit by a lightning strike.

Rockland County in southeastern New York... - Until 545 PM EDT. - At 454 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Pearl River, or near Nanuet, moving northeast at 10 mph. # DETAILS -------------------- HAZARD 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE Radar indicated. IMPACT Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR Nanuet and Tappan around 500 PM EDT.
