  1. Calling it 15" in Easthampton including today's inch or so
  2. Um…you should probably “bathe now (or tomorrow or something)” regardless of the ice storm
  3. It's fine - this is a silly argument, but the time stamp on the map you are showing is from four hours ago, and the others I posted are from 3:14 and 3:16. They make it overly complicated.
  4. I posted the map that is on ALY's website right now...there is also this one
  5. Where are you seeing that? Their maps don't indicate anything near 6" anywhere in their forecast zone.
  6. The 1:16 update to the BOX snowfall map might have lowered expected totals…definitely didn’t increase them
  7. These maps seem to undercount, at least the upstate cities. For Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Albany, the listed totals are 32, 39, 67, 27, and 21. The official totals for those sites (as of 1/2) are 34, 44, 80, 34, and 26. Are the New England numbers similarly low?
  8. Are those numbers up to date? I know the official Albany snowfall is up to 23, not 19.
  9. Turned to sleet here, about 10 miles east of Binghamton…if it stays like this it’s only going to be about 3 inches instead of 6+ forecast
  10. Visiting in the Binghamton area and just got some thunder snow
  11. CT seems to cancel more. In my 50 years of life, most spent as either a student in upstate NY or teaching in western MA, annual snow totals have swung wildly but it’s basically always between 2 and 5 snow days a year. If it’s a snowy winter, schools toughen up make it harder to cancel. If it’s a snowless winter, you end up getting easier snow days to use a couple. People complain no matter what.
  12. Went from 35 and mostly full snow coverage at home to 56 and zero snow by the time I got to work. Feels like May.
  13. It’s not, but that’s fine…I’ll move on
  14. I don’t mean to be a pretentious ass, but I’ve read “Sam hell” on these forums 50 times over the years, but there is no such expression. It’s Sam Hill. Sorry.
  15. Up to about 5" in Easthampton, trying to flip back to all snow
  16. Who cares how warm or cool it is on a rainy day? I remember now why I don’t check this place out in the summer.
  17. 7 out of last 8 days here…it just seems normal
