Nam clown map seems to be good for 4-6" on the east side...but that would depend on crazy ratios. We know better than to count on ratios lol.
-
1.25" here overnight.
-
Good discussion Ohweather! Looks like Cle agrees with you. My Pc forecast is 1-3 tonight and 1-3 tomorrow.
-
Ya noticed a light glaze on the deck and driveway. Definitely a solid snowpack still. I figured we would have lost more.
Looks like an interesting next few weeks. Might make up for the snow that melted. Won't count on any le weds-Thurs, but would be a nice surprise. I imagine any cracks that did form will probably be re-freezing.
-
Hopefully this warm weather is opening the lake a little bit.
47 out according to wunderground. Luckily the majority of the snow is dense and not les fluff.
-
Good news about the lake ice cracks. I believe CLe mentioned this in their disco too. We're going to need a refresher after this weekend.
-
Pretty sure we have surpassed our peak depth from last year. Amazing after such a lame December, we have had snowcover since the beginning of Jan. Don't see this melting anytime soon either. Piles are getting high along my driveway, and the side of roads.
-
Appears some lake enhancement is trying to develop as the main swath slides south and winds shift.
My snow depth just broke last year's max depth of 16 inches.
The back part of this band looks intense. Up to 3.5".
-
Measured 2.25" thus far. Noticed cle did pit up a wwa finally.
-
Yep 3" here too. Very snowy pattern lately.
-
A little tougher to measure this time with a little drifting. Looks like an extremely fluffy 1.5" fell throughout the day. Storm /le total at 13".
-
The band finally pushed west. It's dumping in Chagrin. Huge flake size. Wish we could get one of these huron connected bands to stay put for a few hours.
We've easily eclipsed the 12" mark. Probably closing in on 14"+ with the fluff snow from this morning.
Ya its ripping pretty good in Solon. Wish this thing would stay put for a while.
-
The band near Lorain has a definite Huron connection. I wonder if it will stay in one spot for long? If that moves just a nudge to the east it'll be over the airport so we'll what kind of Obs they report.
Wow thats a healthy looking band! The 71/480 webcam is a whiteout.
-
Considering the lame December we have had, the other months have definitely made up for it. I believe I have crossed the 70" mark to date.
Can't imagine the amount of snow we would have had if the ratios had been lower. I'm glad they were higher though. More staying power and more scenic.
-
We must have had some rain here overnight. There's an odd pock marked appearance to the snow.Temp spiked to 32.4 around midnight.
Ya, there's definitely a layer of ice now. I only measured 1" of new snow overnight. Would have thought there would have been more, but probably had a mix for a while. Total is up to 11.5".
-
Final measurement for the night ...just under 3" new since 6pm. Extremely heavy weight to the snow now, with some compacting. Going with a total thus far of 10.5".Still snowing moderately.
-
How much snow are you guys up to? I see the dry slot keeps filling in over the northern two tiers of counties from Lake Erie.
I measured an additional inch a few hours ago bringing the daily total to 7.5". Snowing hard again ..
-
Some areas seem to be increasing in intensity as they head this way. Is this because of elevation?
-
Back to steady snow again. Not too long of a break. Looks like several yellow 30dbz returns on radar not too far away.
-
As I typed that it stopped snowing lol.
Just measured 4.5" additional ..bringing total so far to 6.5".
-
Drive safe Ohweather!
Pouring flakes outside. I'm extremely impressed thus far. Had 2" around 11am. Going to guess an additional 4" since. I'll get out ans get a measurement soon.
-
Flake size has increased this past hour.
-
Just measured 2". Snowing nicely and radar looks decent. Odd that my pc forecast is for only 1-3" today.
-
Clown maps seem to have decreased totals for us some, but qpf is still > 1.1". I'm guessing the ratios are getting lower. I think most of the mixing is still below rt 30.

Snow has started. I agree, definitely surprised there is not a warning or advisory out. I imagine roads will be a mess tomorrow and lots of traffic with valentines dinners, movies etc. I did see the wind chill watch includes snow amounts ....thought that was odd.
Good map ohweather. I like these events that have potential for surprises. Maybe the lake will contribute more, better ratios etc.
