  1. Ya its been nice seeing the rain. Looks to be a rainy weekend too.
  2. Wow hadn't realized just how warm this may has been. I've also noticed it seems drier than the past few springs. Today feels much more like spring. Forgot to do a winter wrap up.... I recorded (purely amateur) 109.5" of snow. A total of 36 snow "accumulating days" and average daily recording of 3". First accumulating snowfall was Nov 14, and last was April 23. Peak depth was 19" ( though there was probably a period with a few more inches). This winter had alot more substantial events than last year. Last year I had 51 recorded events averaging 2.4". Even though last winter had more snow overall, this year was better overall with the snowcover length. Just imagine if December had just average snowfall ...
  3. Yikes. Just measured 2" on the deck. Novemberish out there.
  4. What a raw day. Had snow /graupel this afternoon and on the way home. Tonight looks like more of the same.
  5. Ughhh that's ugly. Its been so nice lately. A few trees have starter to bud, and grass is growing. Was just thinking about when the first mow would be. Maybe another week or two if it stays dry.
  6. Yikes lakeshore areas are in the 30s. 61 out here, feels great!
  7. After such a snowy stretch this winter, it would be nice if they could "officially " finish avg or above. It's ridiculous that the recording is so screwed up. Hopefully tomorrow night has some surprises. I wouldn't mind one last snow, as it looks to melt quick anyways. The dry cold/cool stretch is getting old. The warmth today is awesome however!
  8. How much does Cle need to reach average?
  9. Might also be some at 271 and chagrin ...at least the visability looks really low there compared to others.
  10. Interesting observation about the yard low spots. Wonder if this has to do with the soft ground vs frozen that the snow accumulated on? I'll have to see if I notice any spits.
  11. I am quite surprised with how long it has hung on. Just goes to show how dense and compacted it was. Ya, I'm sure with the rain over the weekend it will finally be gone. The temps this week have felt great! Spring fever is starting to kick in.
  12. Ya I'm definitely done with this cold. Looking forward to next week, 40s and sun will feel so nice. Can't wait to get this last layer of ice off of the driveway too. I do feel we have another storm or 2. Maybe some lake effect if we get a good cold blast later.
  13. Ya the rain and warmer temps are looking more tame than they once were. Still could get fringed with a few inches from the southern system on Thurs. Though...I'd rather a big dog or nothing at this point.
  14. Rather unimpressive event here. 3.5" total. Only had a few bursts of heavier snow, otherwise mostly showery. Depth is now 19".
  15. Ya I thought that was a little over zealous as well. Should be a lower ratio snow to add to the current glacier. I'd be curious what the water content in our snowpack is. Has to be above 2". Going to be another cold night. Was -3 on the way home earlier.
  16. I tend to agree. After Sunday we will probably be approaching 110" for the year. Definitely has been a great year. I was more referring to soaking rains causing rapid snow melt and flooding. Would rather it be a slower process.
  17. Pretty good consensus on another 4-6 snowfall on Sunday. Next week looks active. Would really prefer no soaking rain though..
  18. How low did you record Neoh? I saw -20 on the phone this morning (I really need to get a good gauge lol).
  19. Wow that's awesome! Yaa break that ice up lol!
  20. Picked up 2.25" yesterday evening and overnight. Nice surprise considering cle only had a half inch in the forecast.
  21. Ya it does. Have had light snow most of the afternoon, but rates are definitely picking up now.
  22. Ended up with 4.25". My last measurement came later, so there was probably some compaction. Definitely a lower ratio snow on top. Average depth is around 16.5". It's been an impressive strech, and doesn't look to let up anytime soon.
  23. Looks like the dry slot finally filled in. Steady light snow for the last hour or so.
  24. A little over 2" so far. Hopefully the radar fills in more. Still more to come out west.
  25. Ya I think we are in a good spot for this storm. We should stay all snow, and a bump or two north shouldn't hurt too much.
