Wow thats a healthy looking band! The 71/480 webcam is a whiteout.

Considering the lame December we have had, the other months have definitely made up for it. I believe I have crossed the 70" mark to date. Can't imagine the amount of snow we would have had if the ratios had been lower. I'm glad they were higher though. More staying power and more scenic.

Ya, there's definitely a layer of ice now. I only measured 1" of new snow overnight. Would have thought there would have been more, but probably had a mix for a while. Total is up to 11.5".

Final measurement for the night ...just under 3" new since 6pm. Extremely heavy weight to the snow now, with some compacting. Going with a total thus far of 10.5".Still snowing moderately.

I measured an additional inch a few hours ago bringing the daily total to 7.5". Snowing hard again ..

Some areas seem to be increasing in intensity as they head this way. Is this because of elevation?

Back to steady snow again. Not too long of a break. Looks like several yellow 30dbz returns on radar not too far away.

As I typed that it stopped snowing lol. Just measured 4.5" additional ..bringing total so far to 6.5".

Drive safe Ohweather! Pouring flakes outside. I'm extremely impressed thus far. Had 2" around 11am. Going to guess an additional 4" since. I'll get out ans get a measurement soon.

Just measured 2". Snowing nicely and radar looks decent. Odd that my pc forecast is for only 1-3" today.

Clown maps seem to have decreased totals for us some, but qpf is still > 1.1". I'm guessing the ratios are getting lower. I think most of the mixing is still below rt 30.

Since I measured early this morning, there has been an additional 2.25". I'm going to go with the lower end I measured this morning for a total of 9.75".

I agree with setting expectations low. Its hard to not get excited though. When is the last significant synoptic event we've had?

Appears that small band hanging out in geauga county has a Huron connection.

I'll try to get some more measurements later to help verify. There's a little less here in Solon, and its definitely lightened up here. Webcam at home shows it still ripping. Nice surprise and appetizer for Sunday!

Wow! I took 3 measurements and got between 7.5 - 8". Still snowing hard. NeOH what do you have?

At home for lunch ...all snow here. Car said 31 degrees.

We will have to hope the cracks help us out...but I won't count on it. Hopefully it will surprise us. Sunday event has toned down a little, but we look to still be in it. Huge flakes in Solon also. Looks like a thunderstorm on radar lol.

-12 this morning when I woke up. Might have even been colder earlier on. Curious how warm we get tomorrow. Either way cle mentions all snow tomorrow night and maybe a few inches. Weekend storm still looking really good. Edit; should add that -12 was from wunderground. Might not have been that accurate.

Hopefully you being in town will be good luck for us! I saw on one of the snowfall reports that the airport only had a 1" depth. Everywhere else was much higher. Definitely a fishy report.

Persistent light snow. Is this lake enhanced at all? The bands are coming from the north east where there might be some open water.

Ya this snow is extremely fluffy. Measured 1" in several spots. Still snowing lighting.

You're welcome. Ya not bad at all. Curious how much fell to the south around Mansfield. Looks like that might have been the winner (as expected).
