An Early transfer would be nice. Shift the winds out of the NW

Roads were fine on the way home from Woodlawn to ODenton. Worst part was ponding water where gutters were clogged.
Kudos to AA county for making the right call and having a full school day
Looks like you guys were just too far south. Far western HoCo Moco and places WNW and northern Baltimore were the jackpots. Even Ellicott City got 2”. AA county and eastern Baltimore got the shaft

We’ve switched to sleet completely. Warning snowfall in November?! LETS GO. About 5” before compacting began
I expect a couple weeks of a progressive pattern after this week and then another reload. Winter may very well come in with a roar this year.
Any snowfall in November is a bonus..
ps - anyone looking at what’s going on in KY area? Round 2 late tonight perhaps?

Major difference between western and eastern HoCo. Old Ellicott City has about 2”.. upwards of 5” at the opposite end of old Frederick

3" at home. Managed to salvage a respectable event after a disastrous start.
I think you just worry / complain too much. It was supposed to start as mix, and western areas weren’t supposed to get into the action until late morning. The start was as expected. It would go snow in dc and those areas first due to heavy precip cooling the column

Yellow band moving through MoCo is mod/heavy snow. No sleet.
Coming my way in HoCo.

Heavy snow in the NW most tip of Ellicott City! 2” and ripping

Here we go! 75/25 snow to sleet ratio.
Dark sky is on crack and now says 5-9” of accumulation !

“Roads caved”
Can we please stop saying this? How many times do you all need to witness it snow after it is warm to understand that the roads don’t hold their temperature? Good lord. IF ITS COLD ENOUGh to snow it can stick to the roads.
Anyway... pouring sleet and flakes mixing in Ellicott City. Expecting a full changeover shortly.

Unreal - my home of 27 years in Orange County New York received 18.5”.... and I thought my 6” was impressive. Goddamn.
Hell of a way to kick off winter nonetheless!!! I see that models are hinting at some legit blocking in east Canada (-NAO) for most of December. Could be a solid start to winter if all works out correctly
