  1. BWI finished tied for 6th hottest March (50.0 degrees, +6.4 departure). Did DCA or IAD make top ten?
  2. I don't think I was that far off the mark. So far the departure at BWI is +6.7... Not as hot as March 2012 (+10.1), but certainly much hotter than March 2010 (+4.9). We're still in the running for a top ten hottest March (currently tied for 8th).
  3. Someone posted the EuroWx snow maps on Accuweather forums- looks like 1-3" for all of us (north and west of the cities does much better obviously)
  4. Open question: are we headed for a March 2012 repeat? I see a lot of double digit departures in the forecast...
  5. So both record highs did get broken. Record high min today is probably going to be broken too- it was 57 overnight, the record is 56 so as long as we hold it until midnight we're good.
  6. High 82, low 40... that's a 42 degree spread. I wonder what the largest difference is ever recorded in one day? I feel like that's gotta be close?
  7. BWI's record highs today and tomorrow are about to get blown out if the forecasts verify.
  8. I posted all my totals in your thread earlier, including today's (3.5")
  9. There's a tropical spotter class in Leonardtown on May 5 from 6-9PM. If anyone here is going, let me know! http://www.weather.gov/lwx/skywarn
  10. Haha another positive bust incoming. St Mary's upgraded to WSW. Where's SOMDWeather?
  11. Its been snowing good here, but only accumulating mostly in grassy areas.
  12. I got a feeling this is gonna be a nice little event for us down here (again). Gonna be tracking this full time now.
  13. I had a question for the eastern shore people- is Salisbury (SBY) considered an official climo location or not? I thought it was- its listed on Wakefield's page (along with Richmond and Norfolk) and they keep daily/monthly climate reports, track records, etc. Its also on the model output. But its not listed on NCDC's page (only official site listed for Maryland is BWI; Norfolk and Richmond are both listed for Virginia). Looking closer at the snowfall data, it appears to be incomplete/estimated sometimes too.
  14. The 2.61" of rain at BWI yesterday was a daily precip record and also the 3rd rainiest day in February (maybe I should say "liquid precip" instead of "rain", cause 2nd place is 2/11/83 which was liquid equivalent of snow).
  15. I think that line is gonna hit Calvert just as I'm driving home.
  16. I like it- I think that'll be a better representation of the region than NHK (which is too far south and too close to the water in my opinion).
  17. I noticed now for my point-and-click it brings up "St Mary's County Airport (K2W6)" as my closest site for obs instead of Patuxent (KNHK). I've never heard of this site before but I looked it up - somewhere between Hollywood and California? Did they always take obs at this site or is this something new?
