  1. I had a question for the eastern shore people- is Salisbury (SBY) considered an official climo location or not? I thought it was- its listed on Wakefield's page (along with Richmond and Norfolk) and they keep daily/monthly climate reports, track records, etc. Its also on the model output. But its not listed on NCDC's page (only official site listed for Maryland is BWI; Norfolk and Richmond are both listed for Virginia). Looking closer at the snowfall data, it appears to be incomplete/estimated sometimes too.
  2. The 2.61" of rain at BWI yesterday was a daily precip record and also the 3rd rainiest day in February (maybe I should say "liquid precip" instead of "rain", cause 2nd place is 2/11/83 which was liquid equivalent of snow).
  3. I think that line is gonna hit Calvert just as I'm driving home.
  4. I like it- I think that'll be a better representation of the region than NHK (which is too far south and too close to the water in my opinion).
  5. I noticed now for my point-and-click it brings up "St Mary's County Airport (K2W6)" as my closest site for obs instead of Patuxent (KNHK). I've never heard of this site before but I looked it up - somewhere between Hollywood and California? Did they always take obs at this site or is this something new?
  6. Is that place any good? I've never been there. Always looking for new places to eat around here.
  7. There's a light glaze on some surfaces (mostly cars) but for the most part, it seems to be melting. Nothing on the snowboard since I last measured around 1pm. Also SOMDweather what did you end up getting? Some of these totals I'm seeing in St. Mary's are crazy.
  8. Also I'm not sure I've ever been under a winter storm warning and a flood watch simultaneously lol
  9. There was no precip for a few hours, now it looks like a light sleet and rain mix. 34 degrees.
  10. I measured 6.1" so far. Its settled down to a light sleet/snow mix now. 31 degrees.
  11. Its weird how similar this President's Day weekend has been to last year- the Saturday morning squalls, then the cold/wind advisories Sunday, then the snowstorm Monday.
  12. Just measured 5.4", so its been about 0.5"/hour. Was out playing with my son in it- good times!
  13. I don't think I've seen a positive bust like this since January 2000.
  14. Their map has us at 4-6", but yeah, there's already spotter reports of 7" in Clements and California. I can't believe southern MD got bull's eyed on President's Day two years in a row! There's something magical about this day lol
  15. I had 4.2" like two hours ago. I'm sure I have way more now. LWX upgraded us all to a WSW.
  16. I measured 0.3" in the break when the sun came out, now its snowing hard again.
  17. Glad to hear you guys got some snow over there. Just had a snow shower come through. Solid T. Reminds me a lot of 2/14 last year where we had a little squall come through in the morning with wind chill advisories and wind advisories posted for that night (same for this year).
  18. 31 and flurries here. Everyone has a WWA except Calvert and St. Mary's. I saw the county pre-treating roads earlier, but I don't know why.
