  1. Yup, looks like most of OK is in the screw zone, storm to the north...storm to the south. Good grief!
  2. Congrats to those who finally got some good snow!! We saw it snow but it never amounted to anything here at my place just west of downtown Tulsa. Super jealous of my OKC family getting 8-9 inches!
  3. I’m right above where the T in Tulsa is, just NW of Downtown. We need the temps to drop!
  4. There are lots of car accidents and cars stuck on hills and medians here in Tulsa, including my mother. Roads are slick!!! They really should’ve upgraded this to a Warning. Heavy Snow continues! What are they thinking??
  5. Big huge flakes coming down near downtown Tulsa! “Snow globe flakes!” Gosh I have missed this!
  6. They couldn’t put Tulsa in a WSWarning but put everyone directly west of us and then over into Arkansas? Why?? Edited to add: The latest HRRR shows Tulsa with 7 inches. Maybe they think we are just too warm?
  7. Hey everyone! Long time, no chat! Crossing my fingers this is the year the pendulum swings back to our favor! Our region is due for a big one! Haha! Thanks for posting that Jomo! At least I think we will get pretty cold next Monday...perfect night for some chili and cornbread!
  8. Horrific! That's the scenes I remember from Joplin and Moore! Unfortunately, the strength and the fact this struck in the middle of the night, early March, people were not prepared! My prayers go out to these folks! Just heartbreaking!
  9. JoMo...I don't come on here very much, but I remember you during our crazy winter. I live in Tulsa, and it's crazy to think this hit so close to us. I keep thinking, it could've been us. I was praying really hard for you and your family. I'm very happy to hear you are safe. Thank you for sharing with us. The pictures are unimaginable, and I pray to God I never have to go through that. My family was in a tornado in Morris, OK in 1984. 11 people lost their lives, and sadly my family's house was the ONLY house in the town of 2000 still standing. I know the survivor guilt you must be feeling, but I always say, God wasn't through with me yet and he isn't through with you either. Crazy to think I drove through Joplin not too long ago on my way and back from Branson. God bless you and family and Joplin.
