Even with the cold front tomorrow the temps will be above normal for most of this week. It would be nice to score something at the beginning of the pattern change.
I would gladly take a trip up there with you. Heck I would plan a trip with all of you guys in this sub. The cabin sleeps over 10 people. It is an experience you will never forget.
I've been staying on the Tug Hill for vacations for 15 years now. We finally found a nice cabin 5 miles south of Worth on airbnb. The place is truly heaven for snow weenies. The wife and I are headed up there February 3 for a week.
The Christmas night snow squall and what followed for months after that was amazing. Hands down the best glacier I ever had. I still have the newspaper articles of the record cold. If only!!
Nut...great post! This is how I see it. We just got snow in a complete sh!t pattern. We had a small window to get it done. Thankfully it worked. Now we look to be headed for a pattern with better opportunities for snow. We are at a much better place than a week ago.
Nice! That band earlier really put it down here. It looks like I'll fall just below warning criteria here. Other parts of York county have over 6 inches.
Moderate snow falling here. If only this would have started at daybreak. I'm sitting at 3.6 for the season. My biggest event so far was 1.6. Give me 1.7 and I'll be happy.
12z eps was definitely a stress reliever in the LR today. Starting around the 17th through the rest of its run, it brings the cold back east. Not only the cold but decent storm chances. Now we just have to keep that look.
We all need to cherish every single flake tomorrow. The Euro has the lsv approaching 70 degrees, with dewpoints in the low 60s Sunday morning. Maytown...Get the a/c ready!
At least for a couple days. The 12z eps gets ugly again a short time after our small widow. I think I'm going to wait awhile to post. Hopefully in a week the models will be more consistent. Have a happy New Year!
