  1. I think, at least in my opinion, that I would rake a mediocre season with a serious big dog in a heartbeat. You give me 20"er and nuisance stuff the rest of the season, and I am going to be happy.
  2. You guys are due to get smoked, and I have zero issues watching a big storm hit MSP in November. Enjoy it, and post some pics!
  3. As I am building a house right now and need some settling to occur, I am fully in support of some temp swings. Need my backfill you settle in. Felt almost balmy at 36 today. Funny how a few days of cold alters our perception.
  4. Dusting so far on elevated surfaces and grass, roads fine with the temp just a shade above 32
  5. Looking like a solid high end advisory event for N IL. Should slam right through 10” on the season before mid November, off to quite the fast start.
  6. For sure. Areas where you cannot see the snow as the tree just dumped everything
  7. Temps crashed to 14 last night with the blanket of snow
  8. Big burst of +sn, starting to have some issues with blowing. Also starting to have some tree branches come down.
  9. Pound town under this band. If this pivots overhead for any period of time, we may really stack up a few inches
  10. This last band just to my west will likely sit on top of us for awhile, as it pivots over the top. Roads are a nightmare over here, with several inches down.
  11. I feel pretty good about a solid advisory event from rte 47 west to Iowa. Closer we creep into the UHI and onshore flow it becomes pretty dicey
  12. Stop by Dunedin and see Baldwin Street. There is also a penguin reserve there where you basically walk through trenches into little "pillboxes" and are able to see them in their natural habitat. Its amazing. Lots of awesome scenic areas which are easy to get to. On the off chance you end up in Wellington, stop by the "Museum of New Zealand (Te Papa Tongarewa)". Some of the exhibits are incredible, incluyding the WW1 exhibit on Gallipoli, which was one of the most incredible and moving war exhibits I have ever seen. And if you're a drinked and enjoy Jim Beam and Coke, or Canadian Club and Seven Up, they have them in cans pre-mixed to 4.5%. I would HIGHLY recommend the pear cider.
  13. When you pop this gif, I know things are trending well. Never expected to see it in october... Not really all that realistic, but fun to see a non-negligible snowfall in october.
  14. Risking a total thread derailment, but where in New Zealand? I was out there two years ago in January and it was awesome. I have traveled internationally a lot, but it was one of the few places where I gave serious consideration to moving to. We priced out property but ultimately decided against it, mostly due to the costs involved in the grandparents coming out to see the babies.
