  4. Have managed to keep the A/C off for today. Have been under clouds most of the day. But did go up to the older Miss J's room and she had her window open and the ceiling fan off. Told her that the room felt like a sauna and to shut her window or turn on her fan.
  5. My sister works at Emory as well as my BIL. They are currently under a tornado warning.
  6. Drone went in. The guy who took it said he lost the drone to the inflow as he had to reposition. Amazing footage!!

  9. Older Miss J goes tomorrow for her second Pfizer. Will let you know if she has any reaction. I got my second Moderna almost 2 weeks ago. Only a sore spot at the sight of injection. Nothing more. Although everyone is different.
  10. Your house sounds like our house. Along with the AC I keep ceiling fans going 100% of the time on the third level. Cannot fall asleep unless it is on and keeping me cool.
  11. Thanks! I told her to check winds over at Assateague also. I would not want to be in a tent in high winds.
  12. Ok question? I have a friend who is going over to Assateague to tent camp this weekend. There plan is to head over tomorrow afternoon. Hence crossing the Bay Bridge and with the High Wind Watch already in place I told her to monitor conditions. Does she need to be concerned of getting to a bridge shut down?
  13. Yea! I find that AC actually bothers my sinuses in the summer. Have had the ducts cleaned but wake up in the morning with a sore throat and massive drainage, so we set it to not be on all day if we can help it.
  14. Yea like @WxUSAF said winter is lower. This winter in particular. Our system covers 80% of the household power. Our solar benefits start around Mar and go through Oct/Nov. We live in a TH that the front faces E and the back W. We have a lot of windows, hence the model called the Brightwell. As soon as the DST changes in the spring lights are not on in the house till around 8pm. Also run our AC less than most people.
  15. Broke down and turned on the air. The girls said even in the lower level it was warm.
  16. Sun is powering my house. Last electric bills was $6.02
  17. That is some nice flat water tubing. A few years ago when my sisters family was visiting we did the float down Antietam Creek. Had a few rapid plunges on that one that were quite fun.You get dropped in somewhere up in Washington County and end up where it meets the Potomac. Think it was close to about 3 hrs.
  18. Beautiful out! 85 with a light breeze. Younger Miss J is having her first after 5 lesson tonight. Nice weather and longer sun light is key.
  19. It is served at room temp. And have never had corn pudding but as it has no flour only corn starch in it, it is gluten free friendly. Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad And that salad looks very yummy!
  20. So last night had a trio of goodness. Oven Baked Spicy BBQ Chicken Quarters with Alabama white sauce for dipping with corn pudding and Brussels sprouts salad.
  21. @vastateofmind here you go. I add in annuals for more color pops but that will not happen till Mother's Day. Beds will also be refreshed with mulch at that time and the bulbs will be cutback. Here is my front bed Here is the rose bush, day lilies and White Salvia Here is the Sedum This is my bed out near the sidewalk it has day lilies cat mint and Lyropie.
  22. So looking forward to a decent span of nice weather to get some outside work done. Kidney stone front, I think it has passed. At least I am not feeling the pain that I had been for over 2 weeks. Got some weeding done this morning out front and the front perennials are coming in beautiful this year. Rose bush is going to go nuts looking at the buds on it currently. And I have to say my most favorite perennial out there is my Sedum. It dies a dramatic death every winter. But once the warm sun stays out it explodes into green sort of like coming back from the dead.
