So far the last few winters my move from Leesburg to Aldie has not resulted in any lost snow and in fact i may be ahead this year. In case most don't know where Aldie is I'm basically at the far northern tip of where Prince Willian County meets Loudoun...just a bit to the north and right of there in Loudoun County...get on 50 west and drive almost to 15.
it's not that bad i think the envelope is pretty small honestly but as always there is one model that is an outlier and there are also a group of pessimists who are leaning heavily on the outlier or working super hard to talk about sun angle and ground temps etc. It's annoying if i'm being honest
As far as I am concerned there is only one person allowed to throw the HRRR turd into the punchbowl and that's MN Transplant. He's our new Ender for those who have been around for awhile
Lots of people projecting their own emotions onto anyone who will carry them in the snow potential thread. I'm particularly perplexed by the two fellers from what is generally considered a prime spot in Loudoun but anywho. Still wishing everyone good luck
I'm fascinated by the differences in sensible weather in our area in just a small radius. I mean I've lived in Takoma Park, Woodbridge, Annandale, Leesburg, Nokesville and Aldie and even in those areas it's fairly different.
Yeah color me skeptical on the full totals comparison...sure on the single storm thing but it's colder up there and they can nickle and dime the heck out of a winter. Shoot even out west where i am hasn't been awesome for the most part. Anyway...hope everyone gets slammed soon.
Serious question for the far NE crew the last 8 winters where you have been saying you have been screwed. Have your overall snow totals for those winters been more or less than those to the south? Are you just upset about not getting warning level snow or have you truly been getting outsnowed every winter by Wes and H2O etc. ?
