  1. Why the turkey? LOL. Do Turkeys remember numbers well?
  2. That would be a good idea to fix the average. Both figures could still be recorded (the weighted average you propose and actual highs and lows) with the current data, but if it is 55 at LNS or MDT at midnight, it looks like a short heatwave in what was really a wintery two-day period. This is one of those issues that is really not an issue in the big scheme of the world, but we spend some much time talking anomalies here, this is a bit of an issue in really relying on the actual weather of the past. With all this said, Friday could end up being one of the top differences between high and low for a day when all said and done.
  3. It may be remembered by you but someone just reviewing records could see mid 50's at LNS for both days. It is deceiving as you said.
  4. @Itstrainingtime, on the subject of the good records you keep, if the HRRR is right your first snow of the year and possibly coldest day of the year will go both down as being +10 AN Highs for those days. I really dislike those midnight highs as they mask weather when looked at years in the future.
  5. The HRRR has most of the LSV getting up to the low to mid 50's overnight. Will see how that works out.
  6. We ended up less than 2" but caught up to you a bit. It is bright out now, so the snow has melted off the roads...36 degrees.
  7. Hopefully the next winter event is a forum pleaser for all including the Lehigh Valley.
  8. Still light snow here. About 1 1/2" total...brightening up a bit.
  9. Some MA posters still have some snow or a snow mix, FWIW. Up to about 1" here now but 34 degrees.
  10. Jealous, you guys must be getting some uplifting help. It is snowing here but maybe 1/2" hr type rates.
  11. Sounds like you should not stop right there next time! Close to 1" here right now.
  12. Yep, the HRRR seems to be the one that was best and the GFS was not too shabby...Nam too warm.
  13. Snowplow just went by with plow up. Almost like a sort of "we are out, and we want you to see us, but not going to throw sparks" event.
  14. Sort of a snow/pellet mix here. My measurement gives me slightly over 1/2". Some of the roadsides have snow now but mostly just wet. Looks nice out. 33 degrees.
  15. If you look at most models, there is a stripe of lower snow which is over me. It is normal in these situations where warm air is close...
  16. It is back to light snow here and the driveway is covered but the streets still just wet.
  17. It is no longer snowing here...sleet/rain mix and 32. Certainly no plowing going on over. LOL
  18. The 3K has been spitting out some nice eastern snow/frozen as well prior to 0Z. 0Z is a bit of a pull back. For after the snow, the Nam is a small stream and road flash flood flood threat for the MA and LSV. 2-3" across a very large area (including the snow that melts.)
  19. I like what the models show except the knowledge that we easily flood with warm at any chance, so expectations are 1" right now.
  20. If my DB inquiry is giving me good info, MDT has only had two days where it has failed to reach 20 on Christmas. 1980 and 1983. The coming cold has muted a bit but still a potential MDT does not reach 20 this Sunday.
