  1. They are definitely covered here. it came down fast for a good 45 min here. I think we missed a band that may have been better directed east of us. And like I said, the sleet. I think @Chris78 had similar totals as me. I do not use a snow board so not a professional measurement but about 1 1/2". Not 2"
  2. We have started some light snow again. Temp up to 33.
  3. I just took this pic outside. Grass is below 2" long but did not do an exact measurement on it. Still not covered. Only about 1" on the lights as well. It is just lightly sleeting here still.
  4. We are definitely up near 1 1/2 I believe but not 3" for sure.
  5. It has stopped snowing all together right now...just light sleet. Waynesboro is about 10-15 min from here.
  6. I started like gangbusters but seeing the sleet mixing in a bit here. Did not notice it until about 10 min ago. Still looks great out, all the roads I can see from my house are caved. Getting over 1" is a positive.
  7. Yea, I edited it a bit. Still quite impressive. I think the sleet here is holding me back a bit.
  8. That is 3" in one hour? My grass is not even covered. Edit Hour and half really. Started here just before 10.
  9. We are actually having some sleet mixing in when it slows down a bit.
  10. We are getting mod to occasionally heavy snow. Would say we are around 1 to 1 1/4" right now. So about or a little over an inch an hour.
  11. Still mod snow here....between 3/4 and 1". 31 degrees.
  12. Not a silly response at all, the post that started this discussion was not cool IMO. People in Lanco have every right to be gun shy.
  13. Yea, a lot of schools still in. That is quite a bit of driving. Safe travels.
  14. It was "snowing over us" for what seems like an hour or two. My temp dropped to 30 when it finally broke through.
  15. Some people here (me included) enjoy the modelology of the hobby especially using the hourly models such as the HRRR to watch how it plays out.
  16. First sentence and an explanation of what I was calling mid-morning (8-10) and where I saw the difference between it showing snow early morning and mid morning,
  17. Everything appears to be close to on time IMO. If it starts 30-60 min early or late, that is not bad model predict wise. May start as rain here.
  18. Latest HRRR with rain/snow start for central LSV 10ish still....10:1 is about 1.5" higher at MDT. This is Kuch.
  19. 34/27 here....still not saturated as nothing making it to the ground yet.
  20. I was thinking waking hours for morning 6- 8, 8-10, and 10-12. Some model depictions have both a MSLP (pressure)/Precip option as well as a Radar option so you can see what they are predicting virga wise. The GFS on TT has this. MSLP and Precip is predicting actual precip on the ground while radar will often show the virga.
  21. The wind is the main show here right now. We have had gusts near 40. If we do get some heavier snow with the wind, that will be something to see.
  22. That is my only guess. The other local schools are already busses rolling so they are committed to a full day it appears.
